South Korea MBC production crew for the TV drama Father, I''ll Take Care of You shooting scenes in Taoyuan - Mayor Cheng: TV drama will help promote the city’s global exposure
While receiving the South Korean MBC TV drama production crew for Father, I''ll Take Care of You at the 1st floor of the Taoyuan City Hall on October 1st 2016, Taoyuan City Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan expressed that the scenes to be included within the drama included Daxi old streets, Shimen Reservoir, Luzhu Kengkou Painted Village, and Taoyuan City Hall located in Taoyuan. The Taoyuan City Government shall provide all necessary administrative supports and traffic control, and hopes that the completed TV drama will help promote Taoyuan’s global visibility and reputation.
Mayor Cheng mentioned that he had pushed for the production of the Location Guide while serving as the Director-general of the Government Information Office, knowing that “film assistance and supported development” like these would help improve the exposure of Taoyuan’s local destinations. The fact that MBC is taking scenes in Taoyuan tells everyone that Taoyuan is filled with unique cultural and ecological charms that can be used to improve the city’s international exposure and fame.
Mayor Cheng also prepared a “Taoyuan Cultural Tea” gift set that includes the four famous local blends of Dongfang Meiren tea (Oriental Beauty), Taoying black tea (peach red reflection), Pouchong tea (wrapped tea), and Lala Mountain highland Oolong to the director Lee Dae-yeong and lead cast Lee Tae-hwan and Park Eun-bin. Fried chicken fillet and bubble milk tea were also provided to the large production crew that included more than 100 members. Mayor Cheng praised the professionalism, dedication, and work specialization of the MBC production crew and observed that supervisors were on site to help direct the camera work.
Taoyuan City Deputy Mayor Wang Ming-Teh was also on scene to visit the MBC production crew for Father, I''ll Take Care of You.
