Hackathon for Taoyuan youth venturing policy, “This is to encourage younger generation being brave to try. Providing a youth venturing platform, so there are more opportunities for young people to step toward success."
On November 1st, 2015, Taoyuan Mayor, Cheng Wen-Tsan was attending “Hackathon for Taoyuan youth venturing policy” and said, “All the young people in the world should be encouraged to try everything no matter it is obtaining employment, venturing, public participating, cultural activity or international experience. Young people should cultivate their adventuring spirit, follow their own dreams and keep their innovation strength. By providing youth venturing platform, city government will support young people’s dreams and provide them more opportunities to move toward success.”
“Department of Youth Affairs encourages young people to propose their idea no matter it is any kind of forums, entrepreneur companies or social enterprises. In headquarter of Department of Youth Affairs, there is a 24-hour venturing café and a youth venturing center. The youth venturing base at south district will be set up at Xinming Market at Zhongli District. The Andong office at Taoyuan District is being planned as youth venturing base at north district. In addition, “Youshi international youth venture village” is going to be built and promoted at Yangmei district. This is to provide many various functions of research, exhibition, forum, exchange and matchmaking. Also, it provides many facilities of the office and small-size factory. The area of whole venture village will be more than 10 hectares. In the future, city government will review the operation result of these three small size youth venturing bases and plan to set up youth venturing base at each district at Taoyuan city,” said Mayor Cheng.
“He hopes Taoyuan can be the first stop of youth venturing. Well-developed industries and universities are great advantages for Taoyuan to develop various dreams of venturing, such as technology, culture, Internet and agriculture. City government will do the best to help youth friends to achieve their dreams,” addressed Mayor Cheng.
